*CDARIN* EchoLink Conference Bridge

EchoLink®  is a closed-source freeware software platform used to connect amateur radio operators worldwide. The EchoLink website notes that the “software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using streaming-audio technology.  The program allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio’s communications capabilities. ”

CDARIN operates an Echolink conference bridge *CDARIN*.  The Conference numeric id is 532301. This is our dedicated hub for Echolink. Everyone is invited to use this conference bridge. If you connect to *CDARIN* via Allstarlink the numeric id is 3532301.

Installing and Configuring Echolink

Echolink can be installed on various platforms and in various configurations. There are a lot of resources available on how to install, connect and configure Echolink for these platforms. We will provide links to some of these resources to help you set up Echolink on your computer or mobile device:

Please remember to check your audio by first connecting to the *ECHOTEST* Audio Test Server Node 9999. Speak as you would normally, and listen to the retransmission for audio distortion, dropouts and/or robotic (R2D2) audio quality.
